The firm texture and sweet, nutty flavor of parsnips have foodies everywhere reaching for their roasting pans and vegetable peelers. Storage: Refrigerate, unwashed in a plastic bag up to 10 days. Parsnips should be scrubbed with a brush under running water, prior to use.
Usage:Perfect for roasting with a drizzle of olive oil with salt and pepper, Melissa’s Parsnips are also fantastic pureed, or steamed and added to casseroles and stews. Parsnips have been mainly associated with stews, but its sweet personality is delicious glazed, battered and deep-fried, or served in soups.
