All melons are believed to have originated in India, having been cultivated since ancient times. Galia melons were the first hybrid of intensely perfumed Middle Eastern melons. The Galia melon looks like a cantaloupe on the outside and a honeydew on the inside. Its light green, smooth-textured flesh, offers a delicious, sweet flavor.

Storage: Melon should be kept in a cool, dry place. Once you’ve cut it open, cover it over and keep in the fridge
Usage: The Galia is primarily known as a dessert melon. Delicious eaten by itself, or for added flavor, try it with a sprinkle of ginger, salt, or a squeeze of lemon or lime juice. Galia melons add sweetness to fruit salads and in refreshing drinks, such as fruit punches, margaritas or daiquiris.
