In 1830, British Prime Minister, Earl Grey, gave his name to this fragrant blend which has since become an English classic. This aromatic infusion is comprised of Ceylon black tea perfumed with the oil of bergamot orange rind. Welcome to the world of Nunshen®
Since 1938, Nunshen has steadily built its expertise by selecting the best premium, fine and rare teas from around the world. Their savoir-faire unified to their long partnership with renowned Tea Masters revealed Nunshen: a modern unique tea experience.
“Nunshen” is based on a 4000-year-old legend. Shen Nung was a Chinese Emperor and herbalist who tested for the first time the mix of boiling water and tea leaves. Delighted by these unexpected flavors, he spread the knowledge of tea virtues throughout China. Nunshen’s brand name pays tribute to this hero of Chinese mythology.
Nunshen teas are prepared in the most traditional way to preserve the aromas and flavors of the leaves.
The muslins are made from biodegradable natural materials with no artificial additives. They are hand made with 100% cotton to allow the teas to express their aromas.
