$45
Spianata Piccante Calabrese is a typical Calabria salami, cured for at least 60 days. A traditional Calabrese Salami with strong taste that can be enjoyed over pizza or with focaccia. Excellent ingredients for pasta recipes! A type of cured sausage consisting of fermented and air-dried meat, typically pork.
The name Spianata Calabrese comes from its shape (“Spianata” meaning flattened) and it is definitely not for the faint hearted. Made with fresh chilli peppers, the bold colour reflects the fiery heat of this salami. Furthermore, the fresh meat used to make the salame is carefully select from deboned shoulder and belly that is ground with lean and fat cuts of ham. Salami is a popular sausage with intense flavor. The Salami family of sausages are typically salty, dry, and highly seasoned, with strong flavors resulting from the curing process it goes through. Salami is a mix of minced pork, beef, wine, salt and spices. Though delicious and hearty when sandwiched between two slices of soft white bread, there are other ways to eat meaty salami. Whether tossed in pasta or into an addictive snack mix, the possibilities are endless. You can also serve the salami with delicious cheese!
