John Dory, also known as Matodai, is a coastal marine fish that is known for the black dot on its back, which is said to keep danger or predators away. Although not as fishy as other fish, the Johan Dory is still extremely flavorful and possesses a tender texture. Our John Dory comes directly from Japan and is processed using the IKEJIME technique to ensure meat integrity and sustainable processing. The John Dory is Sashimi Grade certified.
Characteristics of our John Dory filet:
- Average weight per pack: 100g per piece, 2pcs per pack; skin on
- Storage: Keep frozen at -18°C for long-term storage (until the expiry date mentioned on the pack) or store in your fridge (in the original packaging) for consumption within 2-3 days.
- Defrosting Instructions: Remove the vacuum-sealed pack from the carton and place it into a bowl of cold water. Soak for 10-15 minus or until completely thawed.
